Grane is where you get up close and personal with Mother Nature in all her glory. On one side of the municipality is the impressive Børgefjell National Park and Lomsdal-Visten National Park is on the other. Each provides plenty of excellent fishing and hiking opportunities, the former boosted by the presence of the renowned salmon river Vefsna flowing through the centre of the region. The main E6 highway and Nordlandsbana railway also pass through Grane and there are road links to Sweden and to the coast (FV76). The closet airport is in Mosjøen (42km).
